Simply put fresh red peppers under the broiler to blacken the outer skin.

Once blackened, remove from the oven and put in a covered dish.

Once cooled, peel the blackened skin off the pepper and discard.

Use a food processor or blender to puree’ the peppers and use in the recipe: Red Pepper Hummus. Ta-da!

(This recipe was originally placed in the Grains, Nuts, & Legumes - Soaking & Sprouting Beans class.)
